ToT Small Groups: Catch The Fever!
At Timberline Old Town, we value relationship and learning how to love one another at a deeper level than a 30 second Sunday conversation affords. We try to practice this value in many different places in our church, but one great place for this is within small groups. Small groups are ideally a regular, often weekly, gathering of lovelies who sometimes share food, often share a conversation about their spiritual practice and pray together.
It is intentionally small – and intentionally kind. A safe place to have at least once a week where you know you are loved.
Given this, we have had a lot of interest in joining groups but are currently very shallow on groups that are actively meeting! Such a trend makes it hard to keep groups small, and also to keep people who are interested continuing to participate. We are in need of new leaders who are willing to open up their home or meet at the coffeehouse and create this kind of small community.
If you have an itch in your bosom to try and help create a new group, please contact Doug at doug@timberlineoldtown.org to talk about it! No amount of experience, credentials or facial hair is required, though any mix of those three is never a bad thing. Talk soon, eh?
